For over two decades, David Baird has built a career founded on a simple premise: doing things right, from the ground up. Based in Roosevelt, Utah, David leads Baird Construction & Development as a construction company built on a uniquely comprehensive perspective, combining hands-on building expertise with high-level federal project management experience. Whether executing a complex custom build or planning a large-scale residential subdivision, his goal as a general contractor is to deliver every project on time, on budget, and to the highest possible standard.

As a partner at Vantage Homes and later owner and operator of Stonehaven Builders, David spent nearly a decade managing crews and completing hundreds of commercial and residential jobs, learning the building process from staking and foundation excavation through framing, drywall, custom tile, and finish carpentry.
Over twelve years managing complex, high-stakes initiatives for the federal government, as a Project Management Specialist for the Bureau of Reclamation and a Natural Resource Specialist for the Bureau of Land Management, navigating regulatory environments and ensuring strict environmental compliance.
Two terms, eight years, as a City Councilman for the Roosevelt City Corporation, advocating for responsible development, public safety, and local infrastructure and planning that reflects the true needs of Uinta Basin residents.

David’s years navigating federal regulatory environments mean he’s equally comfortable with the heavy lifting of development logistics: land-use planning, infrastructure development, and the zoning laws and permitting processes that stall projects in less experienced hands.

David holds a degree in Wildlife Science from Utah State University, where he was recognized as Undergraduate Researcher of the Year. The scientific background he developed in population modeling and wetlands analysis sharpened his attention to detail, a skill that translates directly into drafting highly accurate project budgets, forecasting material needs, and keeping large-scale developments on schedule.
